Community Power Network is pleased to name Aaron Sutch as the new Virginia Sun Program Director.
Aaron will be working with communities throughout the state of Virginia to support the growth of solar in the state through innovative community projects, neighborhood solar bulk purchase programs, and strong solar policies.
Aaron comes to CPN from The Mountain Institute in West Virginia where he implemented key solar projects (including the West Virginia’s first solar-powered Farmers market) and conducted policy outreach around solar and energy efficiency. Aaron states, “I’m excited to build off my past experience and be part of a team that will help more and more Virginians benefit from solar energy”. Aaron will be based in Richmond and he is looking forward to meeting members of the solar community from across the state.
“It’s becoming clear to Virginians that solar represents freedom from rising energy costs and a way to spur local economic development. Virginia Sun is ready to capitalize on this momentum and help people take advantage of this clean, abundant fuel source” states Sutch.
