Holding Monopoly Utilities Accountable: The FTC Campaign

May 19, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

Virtual Event Virtual Event

Solar owners and advocates know that utilities across the country are abusing their monopoly status to make it harder and more expensive for people to go solar. These utilities are also using our money for lobbying and political campaign donations, voter interference and, in recent cases, outright criminal corruption. It is clear that the dirty utility system must be reformed.

In this webinar, you’ll learn about the new campaign to pressure the Federal Trade Commission to investigate and address utility abuses of consumers, our climate, and our democracy. Hear from Center for Biological Diversity’s Jean Su and Solar United Neighbors Policy Director Glen Brand about holding monopoly utilities accountable and what you can do to help.
