Priority solar bill hangs in the balance

The New Jersey legislature is considering bills that would maintain our state's strong solar market. Urge them to do so!

Bills S2314/A3723 would require the state’s utilities to provide a greater percentage of solar energy each year, culminating in 5.1 percent by 2021. This will keep the New Jersey’s primary solar renewable energy credit incentive, SRECs, available through the year 2021. It will also enable New Jersey residents unable to install solar  (e.g. renters or those with unfit roofs) to join community solar projects.
