Co-op selection committee members meet to choose an installer.

The St. Johns County Solar Co-op has selected A1A Solar to install solar panels for the 112-member group. Co-op members selected A1A Solar through a competitive bidding process over five other firms. The group will hold its final public information session October 10, 7 p.m., at the Palm Valley Community Center to educate the community about solar and the co-op process.

Co-op members selected A1A Solar because of the company’s years of experience, quality equipment, strong warranties, and total costs.

The co-op is open to new members until November 3. St. Johns County residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op webpage. Joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. A1A Solar will provide each co-op member with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save money off cost of their system, receive high-quality equipment and warranty packages, and have access to the support of FL SUN and fellow co-op members.
