By Aaron Sutch on January 13, 2015

A group of neighbors in Halifax County Virginia are forming the Halifax County Solar Co-op to go solar together and get a discount. If you’ve ever wanted to go solar, now is your chance.

Join us for the Co-op’s final info session: Saturday, January 24th at 2pm at the Halifax County Stem Education Center (315 South Main Street, Halifax, VA 24558).

The info session is intended for Halifax County residents and business owners interested in going solar as a group and saving money off the cost of an installation. Representatives from  Virginia Sun, and our sponsoring organizations will be on hand to answer questions, explain how the Solar co-op works and guide new members on how to sign up now.

According to Halifax Town Manager, Carl Espy, “Halifax County is excited to be one of the first rural communities moving forward with this solar model. It’s a great opportunity for residents and businesses of Halifax County to go solar and save money and we’re grateful to host the meeting”.

The group is being sponsored by the Town of Halifax, Oak Grove Plantation Bed and Breakfastand Virginia SUN (A program of Community Power Network)
