Hundreds of Virginians demand solar rights

By Ben Delman on July 10, 2016

Virginia’s laws violate our right to invest in and benefit from solar energy by limiting consumer choice. It’s why more than 750 Virginians have signed the Virginia Declaration of Solar Rights to demand a fairer market for solar in the Commonwealth.

The declaration comes as the General Assembly holds a special session to review policies that could help all Virginians fairly access solar energy. This is a great opportunity to let your state senator and delegate know there is broad, bi-partisan support for legislation that will enable all Virginians to go solar.

The committee held its first session last month. You can read our summary of the proceeding here.
