Solar co-op in Polk County selects installer to serve group

By Ben Delman on November 15, 2018

The Polk County Solar Co-op has selected Wayfare Energy to install solar panels for the 71-participant group. Co-op participants selected Wayfare Energy through a competitive bidding process over three other firms. The group will hold its final public information session December 5 (details below) at Lake Wales City Commission Chambers to educate the community about solar and the co-op process.

Co-op participants selected Wayfare Energy because of their equipment and warranty offerings.

The co-op is open to new participants until December 25. Polk County residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at: www.solarunitedneighbors.org/polk.

The solar co-op is free to join and joining is not a commitment to purchase panels.

Wayfare Energy will provide each co-op participant with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save on the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group participants and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
