Tell the PUCO to stop utilities from raising fixed charges

Ohio utilities want to increase the amount you pay for fixed charges on your monthly bill. This would make going solar less financially beneficial.

Utilities are attempting to block the growth of rooftop solar in Ohio by increasing the portion of your bill that is fixed charges. Fixed charges appear independently from your electricity usage. You pay them no matter how much electricity you use from the utility, or how much electricity you can generate with solar. They undermine the value of going solar because they prevent you from lowering your bill your solar production. Ohio’s utilities are asking the Public Service Commission of Ohio to protect their monopoly by discouraging solar. We need to stand up for our solar rights.
