Why did you decide to go solar?

First and foremost, we feel strongly about making the critical switch to clean and renewable energy.

Did anything surprise you about going solar?

I was pleasantly surprised that the process would bring us into a community of diverse, friendly and passionate folks about overall sustainability. Having more friends and peers has been a wonderful added benefit.

Do you have any data about your solar system performance? What electricity savings have you seen since going solar?

It’s performing about as expected. About 28,000 to 30,000 kwh per year.

What advice would you give to someone considering going solar?

Take the (hardest) first step and start exploring it with a solar professional or advocate.
