SUN explained solar to us and made the costs accessible.

Why did you decide to go solar?

We had been interested in solar for a long time, but when we first investigated, it was just too cost-prohibitive. Last year, I heard about a presentation by Solar United Neighbors on WLRN radio and decided to attend. I was so excited by what I heard that I brought my husband along to the next presentation they had. Jody was able to explain the solar systems in a way that made it easy to determine what we wanted.

I volunteered for the selection committee, and again, Jody made the process of helping us to choose an installer very easy without trying to influence our decision. We have since completed our solar installation and are very happy. We’ve also given flyers to friends and family, and one has already signed a contract. I would definitely recommend solar and Solar United Neighbors to anyone.

Did anything surprise you about going solar?

How easy it was!

Why did you choose to go solar with Solar United Neighbors?

The price and the knowledge shared made it easy to compare against other estimates I got.

What benefits did you experience going solar with a co-op?

The power of buying in volume definitely made a difference. Definitely go through a solar co-op, both to get the best price and to learn about the system and what you need.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I would have liked to have more information on batteries during the solar process. I think it would be helpful when installing the system instead of doing it afterwards.
