Richmond solar co-op

What is a solar co-op?

The Richmond Solar Co-op is open to residents of Richmond and the greater region including Ashland, Mechanicsville, and Petersburg.

Solar United Neighbors is a non-profit organization that provides unbiased, installer-neutral support through each stage of the process of going solar.

Our solar co-ops organize people into a group and take advantage of bulk-purchasing power to get discounted pricing and a quality installation.

Co-op participants choose an installer through an open and competitive bidding process. The installer provides a personalized proposal for each participants home.

There is no commitment to get started

Our co-ops are free to join, open to everyone and there is no commitment to actually go solar. You can choose to drop out or purchase a system at any time. Learn if our solar co-op is right for you:
