Solar owners deserve fair credit for the electricity they produce. But greedy monopoly utilities want to take from solar owners what is rightfully theirs. This is why in states across the country these companies are attacking a policy known as “net metering.” Net metering ensures solar owners earn a fair credit for the electricity they produce.
American families and businesses are going solar because it lowers their energy bills.It creates good homegrown jobs. It makes our energy grid more reliable and affordable. And, solar helps us all to be energy independent.
We urge state officials to protect our fundamental solar rights. They must reject monopoly utilities’ self-interested, cynical attacks on net metering policies. We demand that our representatives will ensure a fair, competitive, and free marketplace. They must stand up against this power grab by monopoly utilities companies.
