The Potomac Solar Co-op has selected EDGE Energy and Sustainable Energy Systems to install solar panels for the 134-member group. Co-op members selected the two installers through a competitive bidding process over nine other firms.

“Sustainable Energy Systems is honored to have been selected for this program,” said Ryan Nicholson of Sustainable Energy Systems. “We are excited to help bring more solar to Virginia.”

“The enthusiasm we’ve seen from Northern Virginia homeowners to embrace solar speaks to the dedication of our region to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources,” said Anthony Coella of EDGE Energy. “We look forward to helping homeowners make energy-conscious improvements for their families and community.”

Co-op members selected EDGE Energy and Sustainable Energy Systems for their warranties, competitive pricing, quality components, and experience.

The co-op is open to new members until late September. Northern Virginia residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at http://www.vasun.org/potomac. Joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Each co-op member will be assigned an installer, who will provide him or her with an individualized proposal based on the group pricing. By going solar as a group, each participant generally saves up to 20% off the cost of their system.
