Solar Co-op in Manatee County selects Solar Source to serve group

By Ben Delman on March 1, 2018

The Manatee County Solar Co-op has selected Solar Source to install solar panels for the 153-participant group. Co-op participants selected Solar Source through a competitive bidding process over 10 other firms. The group will hold its final public information session March 22 at 6 p.m. at the Braden River Library to educate the community about solar and the co-op process.

Co-op participants selected Solar Source for their experience, warranties, equipment offerings, and pricing.

The co-op is open to new participants until April 30. Manatee County residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op web page. The co-op is free to join and joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Solar Source will provide each co-op participant with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save off the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group participants and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
