Expanding solar access with community solar: Lessons for Pennsylvania from Maryland
Community solar is a simple concept. It makes the benefits of solar ownership—lower electricity bills, improved community health, and economic development, to name a few—available to those unable to install solar on their own property, such as renters, those with inadequate roofs, and low-income families. While other states have recognized the opportunities presented by community solar, the Keystone State has fallen behind.
Although Solar United Neighbors is still new in Pennsylvania, we have a proven track record of fighting for community solar in states like Maryland.
