January 27, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm CST

Virtual Event Virtual Event

The Minnesota Legislative session starts on January 31 and SUN members again will be working on state policy to make more solar possible in Minnesota!

Representative Jamie Long, Chair of the House Climate and Energy Committee, will join us for part of the meeting to discuss what is to come in the 2022 Minnesota legislature.

Join other SUN members, Representative Long, and Minnesota State Director Bobby King to discuss what state policy related to solar SUN will be working on and how you can participate in advancing this agenda. We plan to work on legislation giving folks who live in a Homeowner Association (HOA) the right to go solar. Now, many HOA’s prevent homeowners from going solar.

We also plan to advocate for improvements to the power grid so that more people can go solar. In some communities, because the power grid is in need of improvement going solar is difficult or impossible.

We also want to hear directly from you! There will be time to share your ideas for what SUN should be advocating for in 2022.

Together we will make more solar possible. We look forward to connecting with you!
