The D.C. Public Service Commission (PSC) is in the process of developing rules that could fundamentally transform the way electricity is generated and distributed to District residents. As we have reported, the process to date leaves much to be desired.

Earlier this week we submitted formal comments to the PSC. We urged it to put forth guiding principles and a working definition of a modernized electric delivery system. These are necessary initial steps that will better position District residents to provide comment on the specific policy questions that come from the PSC’s grid reform process.
