Co-ops in St. Pete and Miami choose installers

By Ben Delman on March 12, 2018

Participants from the St. Pete Winter Solar Co-op and the Miami-Dade Solar Co-op have selected installers to serve their co-ops. The St. Pete co-op chose Solar Tech Elec and the Miami-Dade co-op chose Cutler Bay Solar Solutions. The winning installers were chosen over eight and five other firms, respectively. Both groups will hold free information sessions to educate the community about solar energy and the co-op process. See below for meeting details.

Both companies were selected for their equipment offerings, pricing, warranties, and for being local to the co-op’s communities.

Both co-ops remain open to new participants. The St. Pete Winter Solar Co-op will accept new participants until April 30, and the Miami-Dade Solar Co-op until April 27. The co-ops are free to join and joining is not a commitment to purchase panels. Solar Tech Elec and Cutler Bay Solar Solutions will provide each co-op participant with an individualized proposal based on the group rate.

By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save off the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group participants and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
