Come learn about low-income solar

By Ben Delman on May 6, 2015

The District has seen amazing growth in solar in the past two years. Falling costs, strong incentive programs, and community buying groups combined to make our city solar friendly. Still, many low-income families have not been able to access solar. That’s why the District Department of the Environment and DC Sustainable Energy Utility have partnered to jointly fund a low-income solar incentive program.

The Solar Advantage Plus Program funds authorized solar installers to provide solar systems free of charge for homeowners who meet maximum annual income limits.

DC SUN is hosting an info meeting to educate the community about solar and this program. We will guide low-income homeowners on how to qualify and contact an authorized solar installer. You’re invited to attend, and we hope you encourage your friends and neighbors to come too!
