Convert Solar selected by Hampton Roads Solar Co-op to serve group

By Zach Schalk on March 1, 2018

The Hampton Roads Solar Co-op has selected Convert Solar to install solar panels for the 38-member group. Co-op participants selected Convert Solar through a competitive bidding process over two other firms.

The group will hold a public information session March 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Launchpad, The Greater Williamsburg Business Incubator, to educate the community about solar and the co-op process (full details below).

Co-op participants selected Convert Solar based on the quality of the components offered, the competitive price, and Convert Solar’s depth and breadth of experience installing solar PV in Virginia.

The co-op is open to new participants until May 31. Residents from Williamsburg to Virginia Beach interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op webpage.

Joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Convert Solar will provide each co-op participant with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save off the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group participants and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
