Houstonians gather to learn about solar energy.

The Houston Central Solar Co-op has selected TriSMART Solar to install solar panels for the 34-participant group. Co-op participants selected TriSMART Solar through a competitive bidding process over six other firms. The group will hold its final public information session on Sunday, June 2 from 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Saint Philip Presbyterian Church (4807 San Felipe, Houston, TX 77056) to educate the community about solar and the co-op process.

Co-op participants selected TriSMART Solar for their competitive pricing for cash-purchased and financed systems, quality components including a free electric service upgrade (if necessary) and 25-year workmanship warranty, and local experience, having installed more than 250 solar systems in Houston, among other favorable factors.

The co-op is open to new participants until June 30. Houston residents within the Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8) interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op web page. The solar co-op is free to join and joining is not a commitment to purchase panels.

TriSMART Solar will provide each co-op participant with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save off the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group participants and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
