Lorain County Solar Co-op selects Third Sun Solar to serve group

By Ben Delman on May 16, 2016

The Lorain County Solar Co-op has selected Third Sun Solar to install solar panels for the 60-member group. Co-op members selected Third Sun Solar through a competitive bidding process over four other firms. The group will hold its final public information session May 24 at 6 p.m. at the Oberlin Public Library to educate the community about solar and the co-op process.

Co-op members selected Third Sun Solar due to their long history of solar in Ohio and the many options in equipment they offered the co-op at a competitive price.

The co-op is open to new members until June 15. Lorain County residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at: www.OHSUN.org/Lorain. Joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Third Sun Solar will provide each co-op member with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, each participant generally saves up to 20% off the cost of their system.
