Maryland Storage Co-op releases RFP
The 39-member Maryland Storage Co-op Pilot today issued a request for proposals (RFP) from area solar installers. The group participants created the co-op to make the process of installing energy storage systems easier, to increase their home’s resiliency, and take advantage of the Maryland Energy Association’s Residential Energy Storage tax credit program. Local installers interested in serving the group can click on the links below to download the RFP letter and response template. Residents across the entire State of Maryland interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op website.
Joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase battery storage. Co-op participants will select a single company to complete all installations. They will then have the option to purchase energy storage systems individually based on the selected installer’s proposal. By working as a group and choosing a single installer, participants simplify the process of installing battery storage and have the support of fellow group participants and experts at Solar United Neighbors throughout the entire process.
