Mountaineer Country Solar Co-op selects installer to serve group

By Ben Delman on February 25, 2019

The Mountaineer Country Solar Co-op has selected Solar Holler to install solar panels for the 25-participant group. Co-op participants selected Solar Holler through a competitive bidding process over three other firms. The group will hold its final public information session on Thursday, April 4, 5:30 p.m., at the Morgantown Public Library to educate the community about solar and the co-op process.

Co-op participants selected Solar Holler because of the company’s competitive pricing, high-quality equipment offerings, level of experience, and commitment to workforce training.

The co-op is open to additional participants until April 30. Homeowners in Monongalia, Marion, Harrison, Taylor, and Preston counties interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op web page. The solar co-op is free to join. Joining is not a commitment to purchase panels.

Solar Holler will provide each co-op participant with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save off the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group participants and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
