New net metering page under Solar Policy

We have created a new page under Solar Policy to track new developments on net metering in WV following the passage of HB2201 and AEP’s declaration that it will try to undermine our current net metering rules.  There are links on the page to independent studies done by public utilities commissions in three other states that show solar power actually provides a net benefit to all rate payers.

If you want to stand up and defend net metering, you should review these studies to see exactly what is involved.  As in AEP’s op ed piece in the Charleston Daily Mail, the power companies will generate a lot of smoke that seems to make sense, but is really just wrong.
