Orange County Solar Co-op selects installer

The Orange County Solar Co-op has selected ESA Renewables, LLC to install systems for the group’s participants. Organized with the help of the Orange County Government and the League of the Women Voters of Florida, the collaboration is enabling participating homeowners to install solar panels on their homes at discounted rates.

The participating homeowners worked with local nonprofit FL SUN to solicit competitive bids from more than a dozen local installers on the group’s behalf. The selection committee, made up of co-op members, chose an installer they felt had the best experience, capacity, and pricing to serve the group.

The group is open to new members until November 30. Signing up for the group is not a commitment to purchase panels. ESA Renewables will develop individualized proposals for each co-op member. Co-op participants will have the opportunity to review their bid and determine if going solar is right for them. Interested Orange County homeowners can sign up at the co-op’s web page.
