Solar co-op in St. Pete selects installer

By Ben Delman on June 18, 2018

The St. Pete Summer Solar Co-op has selected Solar Source to install solar panels for the 62-member group. Co-op participants selected Solar Source through a competitive bidding process over six other firms. The group will hold a public information session June 27 at 1:30 p.m. at the Allendale United Methodist Church to educate the community about solar and the co-op process.

Co-op participants selected Solar Source for their quality equipment, competitive pricing, warranties, experience, and locality to St. Pete.

The co-op is open to new participants until July 31. Pinellas residents living south of State Road 60 residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up at the co-op web page. The solar co-op is free to join and joining is not a commitment to purchase panels.

Solar Source will provide each co-op member with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save off the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group participants and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
