Solar co-op in Upper Ohio Valley chooses installer announces information session

By Ben Delman on August 27, 2018

The Upper Ohio Valley Solar Co-op has selected Appalachian Renewable Power to install solar panels for its 33 participants. Co-op participants selected Appalachian Renewable Power through a competitive bidding process over four other firms. The group will hold additional public information sessions to educate the community about solar and the co-op process. The co-op will be holding an information session, September 17 in Jefferson, Pennsylvania (details below).

Co-op participants selected Appalachian Renewable Power because of the company’s competitive pricing, years of experience, strong warranties, and quality equipment.

The co-op is open to new participants until October 24. Residents of West Virginia’s Northern Panhandle as well as Belmont, Columbiana, and Jefferson counties in Ohio and Greene and Washington counties in Pennsylvania who are interested in joining the co-op can sign up at www.solarunitedneighbors.org/WVUpperOhioValley. The solar co-op is free to join and joining is not a commitment to purchase panels.

Appalachian Renewable Power will provide each co-op participant with an individualized proposal based on the group rate. By going solar as a group and choosing a single installer, participants can save on the cost of going solar and have the support of fellow group participants and solar experts at Solar United Neighbors.
