Solar profile: Sylvester Bush

By Ben Delman on March 1, 2017

East of the River Solar Co-op member Sylvester Bush had his 18-panel 5.89 kW system installed in May of last year. He decided to go solar to reduce his electric bill. The system is providing about 30% of his electric needs.

He cited the numerous financial benefits available to those who go solar. These include the federal tax credit, electric bill savings and solar renewable energy credits.

“The installation took a day,” Bush said. “Overall the process was efficient, organized and seamless from start to finish.”

Bush said he appreciated working with the co-op because it minimized the uncertainties of the process. It also provides piece of mind because there is the group can work with you if there are any issues that arise during the installation process.
