Space Coast Solar Co-op selects installer

The Space Coast Solar Co-op has selected Brevard Solar, LLC to install systems for co-op members. Organized with the help of the League of the Women Voters Florida and many local partners, the collaboration is enabling participating homeowners to install solar panels on their homes at deeply discounted rates.

The participating homeowners worked with FL SUN to solicit competitive bids from a dozen solar installers on the group’s behalf. The selection committee, made up of co-op members, chose an installer they felt had the best experience, capacity and pricing to serve the group.

Brevard Solar’s experience, history of success, and locality were the major deciding factors in their selection. Co-op participants will have their own systems installed through individual contracts with the company.

The co-op is open and available to new participants through February 28, 2017. Joining the group is not a commitment to purchase panels. Each co-op member will receive a personalized proposal from the installer. Participants will have an opportunity to review their proposal and decide if going solar is right for them. All Brevard County homeowners are eligible to participate.
