If you live in a place that has sunshine, go solar. Why wouldn’t you?

Why did you decide to go solar?

I was concerned about grid challenges in the coming years, whether that be due to natural disasters or terrorism. I decided going solar and having battery storage would be the best way to ensure I had electricity.

Did anything surprise you about the process of going solar?

There was supply chain issues due to COVID so that was a challenge. Also, something did happen to my breaker box but the installer covered the cost of he replacement.

Why did you choose to go solar with Solar United Neighbors?

I stumbled across SUN’s website and thought I would see what it was all about.

What benefits did you experience going solar with a co-op?

The co-op provided really helpful information. I appreciated the group-buying power.

Do you have any data about your solar system performance? What electricity savings have you seen since going solar?

My first bill was only $40 which is about half of what it was before I went solar!

What advice would you give to someone considering going solar?

Go with Solar United Neighbors no matter what. Read everything they give you. Decide whether or not you want battery storage so that you can weigh the options.
