Solar made rising energy prices affordable again, a painless process.

David and Mary – Bethesda, MD
Went solar with the Temple Sinai Solar Co-op in 2016
System size: 8.215 kW

Why did you decide to go solar?

I went solar for environmental reasons, getting away from fossil fuels, and for economic reasons. The cost of energy from suppliers keeps increasing, while solar panels became more affordable. And, I found a co-op buying program.

Why did you decide to go solar with the co-op?

I perceived that the cost was minimized by doing so.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to go solar?

Do it! Just understand that the process can take as much as six months (my case).

Has anything surprised you about going solar?

I was surprised how long it took from start to finish, but also surprised by how painless it was.
