Why did you decide to go solar?

I actually have an off-grid home in NM and was familiar with solar. I bought a 100-year-old bungalow in Tampa and wanted to try to cut back on my electric bill.

What was the process like for you? Did anything surprise you, or were there challenges you had to overcome?

I had gotten quotes from several companies but got the best deal through the co-op. They developed the plan and saved me $1500

Have any of your habits changed since going solar?

I am already conservative because of my exposure to off-grid living – I do not use a bunch of electrical appliances but can’t do without air conditioning which is my main source of electric consumption.

Have you seen electricity savings since going solar?

YES! My electric bill during the summer was reduced to $22/month.

What advice would you give to someone considering going solar?

Do it! It’s a great way to save money.
