Why did you decide to go solar?

I wanted to go solar for years. I am an environmental educator and solar has become much more affordable.

Did anything surprise you about the process of going solar?

How easy it was! I was always able to ask questions and get answers.

What benefits did you experience going solar with a co-op?

When SUN came along, they were able to answer all my questions and by the end of it, I felt like an expert. They made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process.

Do you have any data about your solar system performance? What electricity savings have you seen since going solar?

Because I live in SRP utility territory, I pay more per month just to have solar connected to the grid. I have realized some savings but no where near how much my son and daughter in law save in Mesa. (They are saving more than $100 per month.)

What advice would you give to someone considering going solar?

Talk to the people at SUN. They will give you straight up information and can help answer questions.

Anything else you’d like to add?

My installer was Icon Power and I didn’t have any issues with them. No high-pressure sales tactics. Beautiful.
