Why did you decide to go solar? 

I’ve been an advocate for solar for quite a long time.

Why did you go solar with a SUN solar co-op? 

I hadn’t gotten around to researching the process myself. This was an opportunity to crowdsource shopping for a contractor. I could rely on a lot of my neighbors to think that through for me. I was really thankful that I didn’t have to think about who I’m going to pick and how to shop around for it. It was a good way of working through those issues. It’s a scary step for a lot of people.

What advice would you give to people who are considering going solar and thinking about joining the co-op? 

Do it sooner rather than later. We need to get more solar panels up. Right now, it’s possible to finance it in a way that you’ll still be saving something.
