Why did you decide to go solar?

| How much easier it used to be to get Xcel to cooperate. How quickly the system degraded over time on a metal roof. |
Do you have any data about your solar system performance? What electricity savings have you seen since going solar?
Not nearly enough. We are now approximately 50% production after 17 years on the panels.
What advice would you give to someone considering going solar?
Do it as economically as possible and make sure you have a quality installer.

Why we’re not choosing to install solar thermal water heating and indoor heating exchange instead of pushing for PV. While PV is the ultimate solution, we need to be doing the simple steps to reduce greenhouse gas and NG consumption.
