2016 Virginia Solar Congress

Solar supporters traveled from around the Commonwealth to attend the first annual Virginia Solar Congress in 2016.

On Saturday, November 12, 2016, VA SUN hosted the first annual Virginia Solar Congress. Seventy solar advocates from across Virginia came together to discuss the status of solar in our state. The Solar Congress was an open, collaborative, and a great opportunity to connect with fellow solar enthusiasts from across Virginia.

Solar Congress attendees participated in informational presentations on a wide range of solar topics. After light lunch refreshments, the afternoon was dedicated to an informal, participatory forum discussion about the development of Virginia’s solar landscape. If you weren’t able to make the Congress, but want to stay active in Virginia solar, be sure to sign the Virginia Declaration of Solar Rights to let your legislators know you support solar.
