Brews from the Sun and Upcoming Happy Hour!

This summer, Solar United Neighbors is conducting the first annual Brews from the Sun competition to crown America’s favorite solar craft brewery. Since June, solar supporters and beer enthusiasts from around the country have cast thousands of votes. Voting will stay open until Saturday, August 18, so encourage your friends and family to vote for their favorite solar craft brewery.
The winning brewery of the inaugural Brews from the Sun competition will receive a special award honoring their commitment to solar energy, a print ad promoting their brewery’s solar efforts in BeerAdvocate, and most importantly epic bragging rights as America’s favorite craft brewery with solar in 2018!
More than 40 craft breweries are competing from 27 states, and two of those breweries are located right here in the District! Atlas Brew Works, located at 2052 West Virginia Avenue, NE, installed a 67.5 kW solar system in 2015. Right Proper Brewing Company installed a 65 kW solar system on their Brookland Production House + Tasting Room at 920 Girard Street NE in 2017. You can show your support for D.C.-based solar breweries by voting for Right Proper Brewing Company or Atlas Brew Works today!
