Stop the attack on our solar rights in Florida
Solar opponents have launched a new attack on our ability to benefit from solar energy.
Florida, like most states, uses a system called net metering to ensure solar owners receive fair credit for the electricity they produce. Florida’s monopoly utilities have asked the Public Service Commission to take net metering away.
In response, the commission is holding a public workshop to discuss the issue. The commission schedule the workshop for September 17. It starts at 9:30 a.m.
Utilities and solar supporters will each present information to commissioners.
The commission is not allowing the public to make comments during the workshop. That’s why we need to contact commissioners before the hearing.
Tell them to keep this fair system in place.
